Tim Griffin, former aide to Rove, implicated in forced resignations of 8 U.S. attorneys resigns as interim U.S. attorney to A) Abandon sinking ship in ratlike manner; B) Offer himself as sacrificial lamb covering for Rove, Gonzalez, Cheney and Bush; C) Spend more time with nonexistent family; or D) "Pursue opportunities in private sector".My personal choice here would be E) Who cares? While it's a start, it's clearly not enough. Maybe this is the beginning of the avalanche. I must say that the Democrats have been drawing out these scandals as long as they can with decent efficiency. Or at least I hope that is the plan. One can only hope they understand that the longer the GOP is steeped in corruption, the worse off their chances will be for 2008. Impeachment, although I support it, could make Bush out to be the victim of a political attack and could ultimately back-fire if there aren't enough votes.
